BIG NEWS!!! Beginning with this month’s October Assembly on the 25th, we’ll be moving our location to The Concourse at The International! It is a concert venue downtown in the back of Ft. Sanders (formerly The Valarium) they are kindly allowing us to use. The Charles Towne Landing clubhouse has served us well over the past year, but we have outgrown the space, and are looking forward to having a more central location, more parking, a sweet A/V system, and a super laid back vibe.
This month, we will be celebrating LIFE by talking about DEATH… with a fun and positive spin! Those of us who have had near death experiences will share, we’ll talk about alternative funeral services, and plan our own dream funerals! Leashed dogs are allowed (not kidding) and for the kids, we’ll have face painting and games like cornhole. You’re also encouraged to wear your Halloween costumes!
Doors open at 10:00, and the service will begin half an hour earlier than in the past – at 10:30. This way, we’ll be finished in time to join The International’s “Layover Brunch” with delicious food cooked to order by LocalMotive, which will take the place of the potluck. It begins at noon, and features a live DJ, with mimosas and a Bloody Mary garden bar for the adults. We are approaching this next year invigorated by all the possibilities this new venue affords. Please join us!
