Our theme this month is peace. We’re excited to have a Cherokee Crow Caller with us who will share Native American short stories on their approach to conflict resolution and why they chanted for peace. We will also be singing peace-themed songs, hearing a great TED Talk by Zak Ebrahim as well as a reading by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. As a more engaging way of “meeting your neighbor” this month, we’ll be playing a game! Will it be Rock Paper Scissors? Telephone? Simon Says? You’ll have to wait and see. As usual, we will have a fun activity for the kids, and will also be doing another potluck, so please bring something delicious with enough to go around. We will also be soliciting feedback from all of you on ways to make Sunday Assembly better, including ideas for Smoups (small groups), ideas for themes, speakers, music, volunteer work, activities and ways that you all might be part of the service. We look forward to seeing you all very soon and strengthening Knoxville’s secular community!
